Warm Up Your Winter With Brown Chicken

Winter has arrived and it has to be one of the coldest yet! The grey and rainy weather combined with being back at work eating your meal-prepped salad can leave you feeling a little flat. That’s where our Brown Chicken comes in! Our Brown Chicken is bursting with Caribbean flavours, giving you a taste of winter sun.

Background

First things first, you may be wondering how Brown Chicken got its name...Well, Brown Chicken is a Jamaican stew, where chicken thighs are marinated and then slowly braised in a syrup-like sauce called browning. Browning is a staple in almost every Caribbean home, as it adds a unique depth of flavour to dishes. A mix of herbs, spices and tomatoes are added to make this a rich and warming stew.

Nice, spicy and delicious! That's how Chef Marlan would describe our Brown Chicken. Watch on as he cooks this dish up from scratch for you.

Marlan's top tip: Pair our Brown Chicken with a side of Dumplings so you can mop up all of the rich sauce.

Level Up

Who else agrees that these long and dark winter nights make you crave something extra comforting? The solution is simple, level up your Brown Chicken to our Brown Chicken Hash.

It’s the same Brown Chicken that you know and love but made into the ultimate hash. Mixed with mashed spiced fries and topped with fried eggs and pickled veg - soul food doesn’t get tastier than this.

Although we can't take any credit for this one! Our skilled chefs came up with this dish as a menu hack during their breaks, it tasted sooo good we just had to add it to our menu.

Brown Chicken Hash

So, Brown Chicken or Brown Chicken Hash? We’ll leave that difficult decision up to you! Escape to the Bay this winter and forget the rush of everyday life.
