Koko Kolada Recipe

A tropical twist on the classic Pina Colada. This one's a true Turtle Bay favourite that pairs amazingly with warming jerk flavours. One sip and you'll be whisked away to Caribbean beaches in no time! Creamy, sweet and just so delicious, it's amazing for a lazy afternoon when you just want to feel like you're at the beach.

You Will Need:

  • Coconut flavoured rum - we use Koko Kanu. It's a tropical addition to this cocktail but also great to sip on ice for a sweet rummy treat
  • White or dark rum (we use white rum for it's sweet, smooth flavour, but dark rum gives it a delicious rich, caramelly flavour) 
  • Pineapple juice
  • Coconut milk - just from the tin is fine! Make sure you give it a good stir. If you don't have any you can swap this out for milk or cream
  • Optional - coconut syrup
  • Optional - pineapple triangle to garnish

Method:

Makes 1 cocktail

  • Fill your glass with ice
  • Add 20ml of coconut flavoured rum
  • Add 20ml of your choice of rum
  • Add 50ml coconut milk
  • Top with 50ml of pineapple juice
  • If you have coconut syrup, add a dash now - it makes the cocktail a little bit sweeter and even more flavoursome
  • Give it a good stir
  • Garnish with a pineapple triangle
