Rum, reggae and jerk have landed in Glasgow! It's been a really long time coming but our first-ever restaurant in Scotland is officially open, and we couldn't be happier about it.
We might have more than 20 cocktails on our menu, but as we prepared everything for our grand opening in Glasgow, we knew something was missing. Because how could we open our doors in bonnie Scotland without any Irn Bru on the menu!? 😱
The iconic fizzy orange drink might be an unusual pairing for a Caribbean-inspired cocktail, but we wanted to mix up something totally unique that pays homage to Scotland's self-declared "other national drink" whilst remaining true to our love of the Caribbean sunshine spirit, rum.
Enter the Bru & Stormy – a refreshing cocktail that's exclusive to Turtle Bay Glasgow. We've mixed RedLeg Spiced Rum and falernum with your classic Irn Bru & finished it off with a dash of bitters. Bru & Stormy is the perfect blend of Scottish and Caribbean spirit and we think you're going to love it! The sweetness of Irn Bru pairs perfectly with the spiced rum and bitters - who knew?!
Although Irn-Bru may not be scientifically proven to cure hangovers, it has been successfully tried and tested many times. This is partly why the Bru & Stormy cocktail was created - so you can enjoy a boozy brunch without the hangover, or when it's the next day, drink this refreshing cocktail to fix your hangover! We even make sure the glass is ice cold so you can hold it up to your aching forehead.
