Our Executive Chef Collin Brown recently joined up with Parris, the Deputy Manager of Turtle Bay Ealing, to have a chat about all things jerk, including what it means more to them personally... Watch now! 👇
More than just a flavour...
There's no doubt that jerk is a really unique dish or style of cooking because it means so much more to so many people. It often carries memories of good times shared with loved ones, of grandparents, of carnivals or of holidays. Chef Collin talks about the "fellowship" of friends and family back home - everyone pitching in to bring together a great jerk BBQ feast. For him, it's as much about all the moments shared getting everything prepped as it is about the eating!

It's like family
Parris also agrees, explaining "For me, jerk is like family" - like the warm and relaxing feeling of getting together with loved ones and enjoying a feast of flavours together - sharing the moment, or watching on as our guests do the same.

At Turtle Bay, it's a labour of love
We pour our hearts into our jerk process, from the fresh ingredients, to the marination, to the charring on our grills for that tender, smoky finish – it’s a labour of love. And it's all so important because we know just how much these moments shared over delicious plates of juicy jerk chicken mean to you; how much more it is than simply eating dinner!

Step off the world
We want everyone to be able to get together with their favourite people in Turtle Bay, step off the world and let us sort the cooking! You can sit back, relax and enjoy yourself - sharing moments and making memories as the soft sounds of reggae soothe your soul as you sip a deliciously cold cocktail that has you floating away to somewhere totally tropical!
