If you've been lucky enough to visit the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean, you'll likely have ordered Fish Tacos. Often found on the menus of the vibrant and friendly beachside shacks alongside fruity, tropical cocktails and other fresh and colourful small plates, this dish is one that'll transport you to those holiday feels in no time.
One of the newest additions to our menu, our Fish Tacos are a light and zingy starter - featuring crispy, golden-fried hake fillets served on bara roti (a popular flatbread), topped with a zesty slaw, and a drizzle of tangy pepper salsa.
The Flavours
Our Fish Tacos are crisp and refreshing with a mix of fresh, tangy and mildly spicy flavours.
For these, we use our classic bara roti - which are slightly thicker than tortillas - you might know them from our popular vegan dish, Trini Doubles.
A crunchy, zesty slaw blends with creamy avo for the perfect balance of flavours. The tacos ares topped with hake that is as golden as it is crispy; if you aren't familiar with this fish, it's really meaty but soft and flaky at the same time. The fried fish pairs perfectly with a topping of sweet and tangy pepper salsa that also brings that tropical edge.
A squeeze of lime to taste is the ideal finish!
